Welcome to the new way to experience school portraits!
I want to redefine the school portrait experience and parent expectations because I know there is a better way! I would love for my kids school portraits to be up on my walls, but instead, they are still in the envelope, in a drawer.
My school portrait service is custom, personal, and professional. Fine Art Photography allows each child to be him or herself, whether it be silly and outgoing or reserved and quiet. I never want to force smiles and I want these photos to show your child's true character. No awkward poses or fake smiles, just your child's true self on that day.
I capture several images of each child, giving their parents the opportunity to select their favorite image(s). Photos are taken on a black or white backdrop for a timeless and classic look. Each student's gallery consists of color and black and white images providing more options and adding to the boutique experience.
What Services do you offer?
Conveniently, my school portrait experience is completely online. Families are sent a password-protected online ordering gallery. Each child will be provided with 2-5 images in both black and white and colour. The family can choose the images they want, as opposed to traditionally having their image chosen for them. I also provide boutique product choices such as canvas gallery wraps and high-resolution digital images for future printing and archiving.
A detailed PDF with all ordering procedures and shooting day preparation will be provided to the school and distributed to families before photo day
Are these images expensive?
My rates are competitive and nothing is due up front. Digital and Print packages are available starting at $20. All profit is made from ordering and there is no obligation to families to place an order. I offer a variety of collections and a-la-carte products to fit everyone's needs. I also donate 10% of my gross sales to the schools that I photograph!
How do parents pay you?
My entire system is hosted online. Proofs are released for viewing through an online gallery link, and all orders and payments are processed online. The school does not have to worry about printed proofs, order forms, or handling/processing money.
How long does the whole process take?
After picture day, it will take approximately 3-4 weeks before proofs are released to the parents. The order deadline will be listed for one week after the proofs are released. Once all orders are received, products will begin to ship 2-4 weeks later.
How many options do parents get?
I offer several print and digital packages. I also offer a-la-carte prints, mounted prints, and canvases. Parents can select what they want with no obligation to order.
What time of year do you offer school photo shoots?
I offer school portraits in the spring and fall, though I am willing to work with each individual school to determine a time that works best for them.
School Perks
Picture day is not just for the students. Although individual and class photos are taken on picture day, faulty and staff may also have their picture taken that same day as well. This is the perfect way for the school to have current photos of faculty and staff for their websites, IDs, etc.
Schools receive the digital files to use for school use in yearbooks, student/staff IDs, website, etc at no charge to them.
Faculty and Staff receive special discounts on their print orders.
